Say "Dat's alota miles in da U.P., eh?"

Dorf on snow? Ya tink dat's alowta snow, eh? You should ask the guy who's shoulder's mike is standin' on.

Takin' a break a little west of Sidanaw.

Sturgeon River. Some of the best riding the U.P. I've had is in this area! (Lotsa Deer, so take it careful) There's even a few in this pic if you look hard.

More Sturgeon river. Sigh...

And yes, more.

A scenic bridge (formerly train tressel) just east of Bruce Crossing. Notice that the perspective is from a point above the roadway bridge in the distance.

I joined the two guys in the above pics (Ski-Doo twins Mike and Bob) in the middle of their journey. Together the three of us did a little over 600 miles on a round trip from Munising to the Porcupine Mtns. and back. We left Munising on Wed at around 4pm. Made Ishpeming at about 8p, and Baraga around 10:30p (where they had no rooms). We stayed in L'anse. Thursday we headed for Lake of the Clouds, via an unscheduled tour of Lake Gogebic. Made the overlook around 6pm (sorry, it was a little to dark and the pictures didn't turn out! Oh well, an excuse to ride back someday!). Made it to Ontonagon around 8:30p. Ate and ended up east of Bruce Crossing around midnight to sleep. Got up friday about 8:30 and made Ishpeming around 10:30a for breakfast. Finally made Munising around 5p after an amusing detour. See the map below for the graphic representation:

My share of the trip was modest compared to Mike and Bob. All and they went from St. Ignace to Drummond Isl. to Munising and mamaged to put on over 650 miles before I tagged along. What a ride eh? I don't think they look at their machines in quite the same way anymore. As soon as I can get Bob to tell me the exact details of their first half of the trip I'll add it to the map.
